GC down by ten twice in game. Battled back and finished game on 31-17 run. Hit free throws in the end to seal it.

Best two teams finished the year where they should have. Still, I would have liked to seen Castlewood at full strength for this one. It might have made a difference.

Good win for Gate City. I will have to give credit to them, lots of people didn't see them coming out as regional champions. We had all heard quite regularly that the LPD was the weakest but I think Gate City and Norton last night in a tough loss, showed that it may not have been as flashy as some other teams/districts but they could battle and play with nearly anybody.
